Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify complex 3D models and assemblies using Siemens NX CAD software.
  • Generate detailed 2D engineering drawings, including BOMs and GD&T, to manufacturing specifications.
  • Perform design calculations and analyses to validate product performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and project management, to ensure design intent and manufacturability.
  • Participate in design reviews, incorporating feedback and implementing necessary revisions effectively.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Document design changes, engineering specifications, and technical reports comprehensively.

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as a Design Engineer, focusing on mechanical design.
  • Expert proficiency in Siemens NX CAD software for 3D modeling, assembly, and drafting.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply GD&T standards and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) integrated with NX.
  • Familiarity with FEA simulations and analysis tools within NX.
  • Exposure to various industry standards and certifications.
  • Prior experience in a relevant industry sector (e.g., automotive, heavy machinery, consumer goods).
