About the Role
As a Fettling Supervisor with Krishiv Job Placement, you will lead a critical segment of our production process. You will be responsible for overseeing the fettling operations, ensuring the precise removal of excess material from castings or molded components. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing workflow, and ensuring the efficiency and safety of your team. This role is vital for delivering products that meet stringent specifications and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate a team of fettling technicians, assigning tasks and managing daily production schedules.
- Ensure all fettling activities strictly adhere to quality specifications, technical drawings, and production targets.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance their technical skills and productivity.
- Monitor and maintain fettling equipment, coordinating with maintenance for timely repairs and preventive checks.
- Implement and enforce all safety protocols and best practices within the fettling section to ensure a secure working environment.
- Track production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished products, ensuring compliance with established standards and reducing rework.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- You possess 3+ years of proven experience in fettling operations within a manufacturing or foundry environment.
- You have demonstrated 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
- You exhibit strong knowledge of various fettling techniques, tools, and quality control procedures.
- You can effectively read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.
- You exhibit excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to guide and motivate a team.
- You hold a strong commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
Nice-to-Haves:
- A Diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or a related technical field.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with different metal alloys or materials used in casting and molding processes.
