About the Role
Are you detail-oriented, meticulous, and passionate about supporting scientific work? Krishiv Job Placement is seeking a dedicated Lab Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our laboratory by providing essential technical and administrative support. You will contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive research environment, directly impacting the quality and accuracy of our lab processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples, reagents, and media following established protocols and precise instructions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, including basic calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Manage laboratory inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies.
- Accurately record and document experimental data, observations, and results.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, hygiene standards, and waste disposal procedures.
- Organize and maintain a clean, tidy, and efficient working environment within the laboratory.
- Provide support to senior scientists and technicians with various laboratory tasks as needed.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
- Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous experience (internship or entry-level) in a laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment operations (e.g., centrifuges, pH meters).
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and good laboratory practices (GLP).
